You have probably heard that using a water filter is not an unnecessary luxury, as it can reduce the chances of getting sick. Our drinking water would contain all sorts of waste products. But is this really the case, or is such a filter unnecessary?

What is a water filter?
First of all, what exactly is a water filter? You manually place such a filter in a water jug. And of course that filter then filters the tap water you put in. From what? Well, from possible debris such as medicine, lime, lead and chlorine. With those removed, the water would taste a lot softer. But to what extent is it necessary to purify our already purified water one more time?
