AQV 18 glass water filter - The benefits

• Glass collection tank
  The beautiful glass collection tank of this AQV 18 is handcrafted in a traditional glassworks in South Korea. The blue glass is designed to filter UV light. The glass is clear, looks beautiful and is easy to clean.
• Excellent filtration
  Comprehensive filtration through a ceramic pre-filter (0.2 microns) and a multi-step filter. As a result, GenX, heavy metals, drug residues, pesticides, chlorine and hormone residues, among others, are filtered out of the water by an average of 99%.
• Various configurations possible:
  When ordering, you must choose from the following configurations (a ceramic pre-filter is supplied as standard with each configuration):
  pH neutral + mineral stones
  Consists of a multi-step filter + a set of loose mineral stones. This version is non-alkaline
  Alkaline + mineral stones
  Consists of a multi-step filter + pH ring + a set of loose mineral stones.
  Redox + mineral stones
  Consists of a Redox multistep filter + loose mineral stones. The Redox filter has a strong anti-oxidant effect and makes the water alkaline. Note: In this version, the Redox filter makes the water alkaline and no separate pH ring is included.
  Why alkaline or Redox.
  With the alkaline combination, the pH ring raises the pH of the water to slightly alkaline water. With the Redox filter, the filter makes the water slightly alkaline. With the alkaline version, you can choose whether or not to use the pH ring (temporarily). The Redox filter has a slightly stronger antioxidant effect than the alkaline combination.

AQV 18 - Technology

In nature, mineral-rich water is created as rainwater slowly percolates through various layers of soil. As a result, it is filtered and absorbs minerals and trace elements. Aqualine water filtration systems also work according to this principle.

• Nature
  By using gravity, the filtering process in the AQV system mimics nature. Thus, no electricity is needed! There is no waste water as with reverse osmosis or ionizers.
• Superior in filtration
  The AQV systems have been proven to be able to filter up to 99% of contaminants from the water (click here for the laboratory test report). The performance level of the Aqualine systems are therefore comparable or even superior to the filtration in most other water systems that cost up to ten times the price and also require electricity. Turns tap, rain (barrel), river or ditch water into clear and healthy drinking water.
• Calamity
  With this AQV system, you can turn rain or ditch water into drinking water, which is why these devices are great for emergencies.

How it works

1st stage - the ceramic filter

 

This filter is located in the filling tank and has a fineness of 0.2 microns (0.0002 mm). With this pre-filter you already remove much of the contamination from the water including bacteria, undissolved calcium and magnesium particles. The water slowly passes through the filter and then trickles into the multi-step filter.

2nd step - the multi-step filter

You have a choice between the standard or the Redox filter.

The standard filter contains a combination of activated carbon, silver impregnated activated carbon, zeolite and silica sand. This removes odors, tastes, chemicals, carcinogens, chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, hormone and drug residues, THMs (TriHaloMethane), among others.

In addition to the aforementioned substances, the Redox filter also contains magnesium and bio-ceramic beads. This addition raises the pH of the water by an average of 1 - 1.5 pH point and lowers the ORP value.

3rd step - making it alkaline/basic with the pH ring

When ordering, this is a choice. If you choose the alkaline combination you will receive the standard multi-step filter and a separate pH ring included. This ring is filled with magnetite balls, tourmaline balls, alkaline balls and magnesium balls. The ring increases the pH value of the filtered water by an average of 1 - 1.5 pH point to slightly alkaline water.

Please note that the Redox filter does not come with a separate pH ring. The Redox filter makes the water slightly alkaline.

4th step - mineralizing

During the extensive filtering process, some of the minerals are filtered out of the water. In the lower tank are Elvan mineral stones. A special volcanic rock which only occurs in a few places on our earth. The Elvan stones in the AQV systems come from South Korea. These porous stones contain 18 different minerals that are slowly released into the filtered water. The amounts released in the process are similar to the minerals found in natural water. Some of these Elvan stones are impregnated with silver. This allows no bacterial action to take place in the stagnant water. This allows the water to keep for weeks.

5th phase - vitalizing

Vitalization is a special process that mimics nature. Water in nature will never move in a straight line like our drinking water is pumped through pipes. The water in nature meets a stone or another uneven river, falls down a waterfall or is propelled through a bend. In this process, the water is put into a vortex where the water molecules (H2O) are given a nice structure by hydrogen bonds. The magnetic tap contains 4 different magnets of 1200 Gauss. The plus and minus of these magnets lie alternately. This creates a vortex similar to what happens in nature. Due to the magnetic effect, smaller clusters of the water molecules are created.

Vitalization is a process commonly used in horticulture. Without adding or removing any substance, the vitalized water has a beneficial effect on plant growth.
